Mira Veikley is a theatrical designer, visual artist, costume historian, and educator currently in residence at Middlebury College in Vermont. As a costume designer Mira has worked at major venues all over New York City, including American Ballet Theater, The Public Theater, Playwrights Horizons, Lincoln Center, and Second Stage Theatre. Her work has been seen on stage, on film, and in print.

Her visual work includes various media, but centers mostly on painting, life drawing, and textile arts, with a special emphasis on the exploration of color and process.

At Middlebury College she teaches classes in theatrical costume, fashion history, and creativity, as well as designing Theatre Department productions. In 2015, Mira also established the Middlebury College Antique Clothing Collection, which contains over 400 antique items of clothing ranging in date from 1830 to 1930. The collection is now used for teaching, exhibition, and research.

Mira has a BS from Cornell University, an MFA from New York University, and is a member of USA Local 829.

When she is not in the classroom or her studio, Mira enjoys hiking the Green Mountains with her one-year-old son, as well as learning about wild edible foraging.
